Final episode, Mile Bush Pride, Imagine a Box, Give Me the Room, and S T A R are all identical to the EP versions.

Toluca Stars and Tree and Two Chairs are identical to the single releases. That is, containing the piano and keyboard parts that were missing in the EP. So, that indicates to me that including the piano parts are the final, correct versions of the tracks, and that earlier versions somehow ended up on the Episode 5 compilation. Maybe they compiled Episode 5 early and forgot to update the tracks later, or maybe they just accidentally pulled the wrong versions when compiling Ep 5.

I don't know what's going on with that track. The stereo field was all out of whack in the video, and then different in the EP, and slightly different again in the album.

After doing a more careful A-B comparison, I've changed my mind and think Give Me the Room is identical between the EP and album versions.

For the Sampler Edition, Appleshine is identical to the album version (including the lowered hi-hat), but it segues into the next track before the bloopy coda comes in.

This Must Be Drum Street has its kick drum intro, in contrast to the album version. It also has the new guitar drone, but one more instance of it than the album version. They diverge at the 3:27 mark on the sampler, where it skips a section and aligns with the 4:41 mark of the album version, and continues into an early fade-out and segue into the next track.

Listen to Their No is the same as all the other versions, but with an early segue into the next track.

Border Country is the same as all other versions, except for the segues in and out of the track.

Mile Bush Pride is the same as the EP/album version, except for the segue at the beginning

Schiphol Test is identical up until the 4:25 mark, when it drops the vocal tracks and has a slow instrumental fade-out and segue.

Brilliant Yes That Would Be - same as the digital single, but with segues on both ends.

S T A R (Rebel Tech) is exclusive to the sampler. It has segues on both ends, and unfortunately, there is not a clean version of this, as the Oct. 31 mailing list download is simply ripped from the Sampler Edition with the segues intact.

Imagine a Box is identical to the album/EP version, except for the segue at the beginning.

Custard Speedtalk is identical to the album/EP version.

Loving all the final mixes and mastering so far, it all feels more coherent and solid.

Just listening on streaming while waiting for the boxset, so hard to fully judge or listen to them together, but here's my proposed comp of the new tracks:

Good album length and flow, surprisingly going from energetic upbeat choral to progressively darkly sinister (lots of darker bits in these extras, which I'm loving).

Also loving the extended BYTWB with the piano ending. Brilliant.

Just to confirm, does the CD boxset also include the entire set in 24 bit WAV?

I ask because I notice now the site just says "Ships November 2019 TBC. An HD-Audio Digital Download of the DRIFT Series 1 Sampler Edition will delivered to your inbox day of release of the album." It doesn't mention a full download of the boxset is included anymore.

Also, I noticed the UW store has a separate download in Hi-Res with PDF for only £8, but I'm trying to figure out if this is the whole boxset or just sampler edition.

I was wondering this as well but they updated the page a couple days ago with the tracklist of the Sampler edition so I assume it's just those 10 tracks.

That's what I am thinking, especially for the price, but the listing is confusing as it doesn't use the Sampler Edition cover art nor say it is the Sampler. It's also strange that they have a digital option for the Sampler and not the whole set while other stores have the boxset digitally as well. Is there a contact e-mail for the store? I wanted to write and ask, but couldn't find one. Even the CD boxset only seems to mention it including the Sampler download when it used to say you would get the whole boxset digitally in hi-res. Just confusing as hell.

It only includes the Sampler delivered via e-mail (which everyone who ordered should have received already). However, it's possible the boxset includes a digital download code inside for the full set, as the Dubno and STITI box sets did. And I believe the BF box also included a code in UK/EU but not US. That's unknown though until the box set ships.

That is only the Sampler, and I think the exclusive part of it (as opposed to buying 24-bit files at Qobuz or wherever) is the PDF booklet? I'm not sure if that's different from the box set booklet though.
