Re: NEW ALBUM: Someday World (hyde+eno)
Has vague notions of New Order towards the end.

Hmmm… I like the structure and the melody, even though it sounds like an old synth pop (I think it´s called) sometimes, but it feels unfinished in a way.
Would have been nice with real brass instruments indeed and better vocals (sorry but I do love Karl´s voice )

Yeah! It's upbeat well maybe not upbeat. Maybe I mean uptempo. Point is I like it too - definitely a New Order vibe.

Re: NEW ALBUM: Someday World (hyde+eno)
I'm not sure what to say about this. The horns, on first 2 listens, really cheapen the overall piece quite a bit. It reminded me of They Might Be Giants - before TMBG could afford to hire a brass section to record/tour with them; I like TMBG.

But it just sounds really disconnected to me. Right now. Music does tend to grow on me, but if this wasn't Hyde or Eno I wouldn't have given it the second listen. Maybe I'll go at it again tomorrow and see how it feels.

I'm iffy on it myself. For what it's worth, though, I usually need the context of an album to really get something. Cut Clouds didn't do to much for me at first, either.

Nice surprise. I like that better than anything on Edgeland.
