Barking Pre-Order (Problems)

Ok, I think I've come up with a solution for the US dirts...

a friend suggested I try a Proxy server which makes it so that sites 'see' that your on the internet in a specific country.

Unlockthenet.co.uk is one of these servers. There's an address bar at the bottom. I've typed Underworldlive.com in it and it took me to the site. I went to the shop and the currency showed up as GBP. I added my items and then went to check out. Lo and behold it redirected me to Paypal where I could purchase it.

I did not actually purchase it though because when it redirected me to paypal a warning popped up mentioning that I was entering a secured site and that it wasn't gonna be secure through the proxy. So I'm on the fence about this method.. because don't want to get my info stolen. But it might be for some risk takers. What do you guys think??

Weird. I'm in Canada and the price has been listed in GBP all day (Firefox on a Mac). The only reason I haven't ordered is the lack of security on the actual order page (I don't have a paypal account).

I'm going to take my laptop to work tomorrow and try it on our two different networks (inside and guestaccess, both have separate links to the world.) and see if it changes. I didn't think about it, but I'll take my phone off of wifi and use the cell network and try it. If it comes up different, then it's obviously not the device that's the issue.

In other news, I tried to access my pre-order on Amazon.co.uk and found it has vanished from my order history. I can't seem to call it up anywhere despite my email confirmation.

fuckle sticks. can't get it to work in Safari or Firefox. I get Smith Hyde Productions as the PayPal header and the same 'your currency is no good here asshole' message.

i've switched by currency 3 times now.. i think i am done for the day

Just a thought. Are you all logging into Paypal to pay? It is a Paypal check out but you do not have to login to a PP account to pay as in my case because I used my credit card.
