James Brown R.I.P.
Damn.

This has taken some of the sparkle out of the holidays for me.

Death of a legend.

Re: James Brown R.I.P.
wanna here something crazy...

I was at a flea market in PA (USA) yesterday. I saw a copy of the LA Style CD single - James Brown is Dead, I actually paused and thought about the world without Jmaes Brown... very sad... and in my case VERY weird.

Very sad indeed. The world has lost a great light.

I have to say that it is somewhat bizarre when you tell people "James Brown is dead!" and then you hear cheesy rave stabs cue up in your head.......Not sure whether to laugh or feel more sad.

Rest In Peace James Brown. If it can be said that someone has inmortality through his work it is him.

No one can throw the first stone. I listen to too many artists that are flawed as individuals to be picking on that. I don't know why it is because almost every artist that I respect and love is hardly a saint, it might be that true visionaries are able to cross a lot of lines because they have passionate and fiery personalities, and sometimes those lines are crossed for bad. I don't know how to explain it but I feel that someone that is so self-conscious as to be 'good model citizen' will also be the same with his music, it will be someone too rational as to make any art that I would be interested in...

I dunno if that makes any sense, but I've been thinking about it for a bit...
