Death of a President
This film caused a bunch of people and critics here in the states and elsewhere to go nutty when it debuted at the Toronto film festival last month.

It's going to be released here in the states on 27.10.06 and many of the major theatrical distributors have refused to show it, much to their interest in the bottom line and selling tickets.

For those interested, it's out there on the internet already.

The film surprised me in how effective and seamless the filmmakers integrated footage of the president and public figures to achieve a sense of reality. Overall I was impressed with the film and enjoyed it. It's a good idea, wonderfully excuted that is a great talking point for discussion, and would be applicable for any country and public to consider, esp. here in the states in the post 911 political climate.

Where was Willy Loman? Wait...wrong story.

The prequel, Birth of a President, is also interesting. Grainy black and white 8mm, not for the squemish.

Re: Death of a President
not mindblowing but really good. super well done.

a bit cliche but the truth is cliche.. i mean what is more cliche than the worldwide hate against Bush?.. The good thing is that this movie reminds us that even if we are so use to read and hear about the war, korea, iran, iraq, deaths, radicalism, etc... etc... is something we actually should consider serious at all times, mostly because of the future consequences.

it is kind of shocking to stage the death of someone that is now alive. It is delicate and over the top, but is not the most important thing of the movie anyway, just an excuse you know?

Definetely worth to see it.
