Re: Ring Road - Fake Blood Remix - Underworldlive.com
The beginning of the track awfully reminds me of post Chicago, organic, orthodox house, i guess pre 98 when prog started becoming popular.
What makes it sound like garage is the bass sample and the way it's arranged. There is not much dynamic in the track, it all relies on the bass and how it morphs near the end by getting some resonance. Thus, to me it sounds like garage.

Re: Ring Road - Fake Blood Remix - Underworldlive.com
what fake blood has done here is no more or less than what orbital did with sampling belinda carlisle and bon jovi and other stuff live... it was a fun thing they chucked into their set, and yes it did get tiresome, especially as it became completely a car crash of music... this mix reminds me of that
take it for what it is... i say (and i'm the law round here...)

I can see your point BSS and i think Orbital even added The Darkness in for good measure too. Halcyon was very popular live for this reason. But...... Its just the style of music on the Fake Blood remix that is really well winding a fair few up the wrong (ring) road!

Re: Ring Road - Fake Blood Remix - Underworldlive.com
I don't know what you guys are on about. As a hardcore fan (just incase you assume I'm a Nuxx-ist) I love this remix. Laidback Luke's was a pile of toss but this Fake Blood one is terrific! So inventive and fun. And criticising the use of anything as 'over done' is absurd. If anything, putting sounds together to make music is 'over done', isn't it? But no one complains about that. It's down to personal taste, and I'm just trying to show my appreciation for a remix I'm enjoying a lot. So very phat. And I like how the bass line isn't always the same melodically. Very cool. KNOCK EM OUT
Now... someone mentioned there was a Pig & Dan remix #3? THREE!???! I NEED THIS how was it distributed? I've got 1 & 2... |

Re: Ring Road - Fake Blood Remix - Underworldlive.com
It was on the original Play Pig vinyl release. And, as -1 mentioned, on underworldlive.com store now, and also on 7digital.com
