Hip Hop

So, I want to start hiphop discussion. I know there are people on here that are into it. I myself am a huge fan of old skool hip hop and their political messages. Some names:

At first place definately A Tribe Called Quest. Their productions are fucking ace and Q-Tip is a great rapper.

In no particular order:
De La Soul. Actually only their first album, that's just pure fun.

Eric B & Rakim. They have never put out an album that I like, just some tracks that are fucking ace. Rakim's lyrics are one of the greatest I've heard. "I Know You Got Soul" is perfect.

Gang Starr. Productions are fucking good, and I really dig Guru's voice. The music in hiphop/rapmusic is of real importance of me, so Gang Starr is definately one of my favourites.

Nas for his fantastic "Illmatic". That's a short but most sweetest sensation.

Ice Cube. For real, bitch.

Public Enemy. It takes a nation of millions to hold them back!

And then I must be forgetting quite some.

These days there has been a lot of good hiphop too. I can name Atmosphere, (early) Buck 65, Pete Philly & Perquisite, Cyne, Blackalicious, Danger(MF)doom, Dizzee Rascal, Lyrics Born, RJD2 and more.
