Re: the Prodigy
Doesn't do it for me.
Looking forward to the remixes. Hopefully, they'll get some of the exciting new French kids to work on them.

Quote:
While relistening to Invaders Must Die, i've revisited the back catalog. Simply put, all of the other albums sounded fresher, more original, taking risks and capitalizing on what Liam does best - injecting hard-rocking riffs into techno tracks. The latest does what's been done before on all their albums. The difference is, now it sounds kind of ridiculous - custom made for sporting events amp-ups and video games. Nonetheless, i keep listening to it and hearing more nuances in the mix. I wish it weren't all: piranha! fire! die! whatchagonnadowhenthehoundsarecalling?!?!

Re: the Prodigy
Ok, i've given this plenty of spins in the car on the work commute. It's still a mixed bag. For me, i kind of enjoy "Omen", "thunder" "Take Me to the Hospital" and "Warriors Dance". Everything else is kind of bleh. Especially "Colours" and "Stand Up". THose are just embarassing: the former for its unabashed appeal to be played at sporting events and the latter for being a wanky big beat track ten years too late.
Verdict: 5/10

Re: the Prodigy
i like listening to this album in the car...it's like all the other prodigy albums in that there are some absolutely wickedly good tracks but also some not so good tracks....in the main i'd give it 7/10
