Re: "I'm a Big Sister..." thread.
Okay Okay Okay!!!

I'm EXTREMELY sorry. It's my fault. I messed up.

You're right - the audio was encoded at 160k rather than our standard 192k.

I've corrected this - and the new zip is up for you all to download at your leisure. Lucky we let you download more than once really!

Very sorry to you all and thank you for being so on the case.......

I think clipping/limiting is much worse than a 16000 lowpass. Look what they did to old classics (on 1992-2002):
Pearls Girl (STITI top, 1992-2002 bottom, both normalized to show the difference)
Dirty Epic (dubno top, 1992-2002 bottom)
You'll definately lose 'punch' here.

Thank god that they did not do that to their new release.
ha, i never even really noticed that but yeah it's quite a difference.
I do love the "open" sound of STITI, even though you have to turn up the volume a bit more than most modern releases, at least you get dynamics.

Re: "I'm a Big Sister..." thread.
I have now listened to this about 6 times since d/l.

The ambience is brilliant. It's a wonderful journey and I definitely intend to take this trip a few more times this week.

This was definetely a treat to my ears. The last 2 releases, although great, and good, did not have have this kind of impression on me.

There's no feeling like the feeling of goose bumps while listening to music.

R&K - bravo!

Re: "I'm a Big Sister..." thread.
After about 8 listens, I agree, this really has moved me more than the previous riverruns.

Peach Tree is just epic, especially on repeated listens. There's a lot going on here that totally transports me. I love it

This is also the first riverrun where I've hesitated slicing it up into individual tracks. I think I'm going to keep this one whole.

Re: "I'm a Big Sister..." thread.
I think i probably come over as i'm not a big underworld fan as many of the things i post are negative, but its not so!

I do own 20+ underworld cd's, majority of which i appreciate, but i just feel that time on the riverrun project should be spent on crafting the new album which i have high hopes for. Maybe its a case that the current releases have never fit my mood, as i think with most ambient music you have to particulary be in that "zone". Months down the line i may love the new release, who knows!?

I want the new album to be very much upbeat, ala 2 months off style, to make me happy!

anyway, i'm surprised that no one pointed out (or is it SO obvious that it needs no mention) the Ansum recycling running throughout the second half...
