Re: FIFA World Cup 2010
And, in the end, Germany wins. Cool.

Looking forward to a Germany - Holland on 11th July...

Re: FIFA World Cup 2010
Paraguay were robbed of a goal in the first half but the second half was where the game went batshit crazy. I'm wondering if there's anything left to see in a WC game that we haven't seen in the past week.

Spain's ball control vs Germany's defense and counterattacking. I've given up trying to predict how this will all play out.

Re: FIFA World Cup 2010
Last time I checked, offside is called when a player in offside position is willing to play the ball, and that was exactly what the first Paraguay attacker did. He couldn't hit the ball but the second striker could, and he was in legal position indeed, but game was halted by then. I can't honestly see the controversy.

Paraguay's penalty tho, looks like one of our players stepped into the box too soon in the shooting and should have been repeated too. They could complain about that, but it's not time to be splitting hairs, is it? Their keeper should've been sent off and Spain should've shot their 3rd penalty in minute and a half....

Regarding the not so beautiful display from Spain so far, I guess it's not easy when literally every team they've played against plays basically with two lines of 4 defenders. I'm really looking forward the game against Germany because they like to play in the rival's field and that will definitely benefit Spain's style. I'm all for a 4-3 instead of a 1-0.

All in all, ESPAÑA!!!!

You're right about that. I had to have the offsides clarified after the match. I need to see it again, though, because I had kept my eyes on Valdez.
In any event, GER/ESP is going to be a good one. I'd say winner of that will be the favorite to win the cup but you never know in this tournament.
