this week i have got New Zealand Marlborough saivignon blanc
and an italian primativo that i can't remember the name. - they are both lovely!

Coolio, Prof.!
So, i worked for 4 summers in NW Argentina, around Mendoza and San Juan, where many merlots are born. Funny thing is, non-Argentines often rave about these wines, while the natives often claim they're vinegar piss.
Guess it's the "Grass is always greener" principle.

That said, i enjoy a good Chilean or Argentine red. Went to grad school in upstate NY, where the whites and dessert wines were grown, but not really my thing.
