Re: A Collection 2 (Surprise Release?)
Agreed. I also think Bird1 quite transparently trumps Scribble.

But I suppose some people love BB...After all, it was once Biro The Leggy.

Re: A Collection 2 (Surprise Release?)
You know, I've never actually heard Biro the Leggy. I always meant to ask about it because when BB appeared everyone seemed to know it already, but I'd never heard it. Where can I dig it up?

Re: A Collection 2 (Surprise Release?)
For compilations and promo, I mean. Crocodile's not a bad song but it definitely doesn't stand out in their back catalogue. Good Morning Cockerel and Best Mamgu Ever are my two favourites from OWB, but as a single, Beautiful Burnout is, to me, the obvious choice of a track to go on a compilation like this.
Also, Biro the Leggy is a much better title than Beautiful Burnout (see also Telematic Peal and Jumping the Cran) |

Re: A Collection 2 (Surprise Release?)
Sorry, my mistake. The Peel tribute show, Keeping it Peel, was on Dec. 16, 2004, on Radio 1. Artists sent in tribute tracks or performed live. Biro the Leggy (as heard in the YouTube above) was Underworld's (pre-recorded) contribution.
Underworld debuted that version two days earlier on Dec. 14 on a Dirty Radio broadcast. I don't have that particular broadcast on the tracker yet, because I'm still looking for more sources. |
