Re: and: the poetry thread
i gaze upon the coastline with the wind in my hair and the mist upon my face...

now suddenly aware that i'm alone standing in the sand with a sea salty taste...

the ocean breeze is strong and my eyes are squinted yet my mind begins to flow...

watching the waves and the rise of the tide and i think about you again, why did you have to go?

Re: and: the poetry thread
beautiful!!
may I continue....

....at sweet stalls along the coastline
I´m standing with sea salt on my face
centuries later painfully aware that I´m alone
licking and feeling that sweet salty taste

notwithstanding thunderstorms or breezes
and eyes full of sand I have to make a stand
shall I live or shall I die in a world
where my love doesn´t wont to hold my hand

Re: and: the poetry thread
someday i will get out of this place. and the taste of freedom will be so sweet. i feel i can hardly focus on the pressing issues, the issues my world here would have me see. my objective: to get out of dodge once again. this time dodge came to my home, overran us all with the television, with buffet tables and very large trucks. these people. these stupid arrogant people get no where and why do they think?they believe doing what you want will just open the door for everything. that turning 40 looking around and realizing you haven't done anything with your life is 'the way it goes'
my discontent stems from them, my own peers who share absolutely no common outlook with me. all of us tied together by the work week and the recess time. as in any school yard everyone sticks to their own and someone help you if you dont, because the bullies will come for you. only this time their not going to hit you, strangle you, but they will take something from you. something so special that it may take some time to ever see it again, your ambition, your dreams, your compassion, they will strip you of these human things so everything will go the way it has for so long in this miserable state. ignorance, negligence, outright stupidity have kept it from progress for so long all for the sake of keeping the status quo, to that old rule of old money and standard common man.

yes i will get out of here someday, and it will taste sweet, so sweet, indeed.

...and I´m singing
the pain thing
http://c1.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/i...8f0e4b7024.jpg

O-o-o-o-oh
Can you hear me now?
Can you hear me now?
Can you hear me now?
Can you hear me now?
yeeeh
Am I coming through?
Am I coming through?
Is this sweet and pure and true?

I'm seeing waves breaking form to my horizon
Yeah I'm shining
I'm seeing waves breaking form to my horizon
Lord, I'm shining

Are you hearing me?
Like I'm hearing you?
Are you hearing me?
Like I'm hearing you?

You know I almost lost my mind
I can't explain
Where I've been

You know I almost lost my mind
I couldn't explain
What I've seen

but now i think i see the light
but now i think i see the light

lend me your hand
lend me your hand
lend me your hand

Re: and: the poetry thread
he came up and went down in a flash in my mind. the imprint will stay much longer im sure. something so simple and piled together to create this terrible tragedy. his life will never be the same. his life, if he ever gets it back, will be much different than the way he left it. friends will change, family will change, he will change, but sitting in a state pen, with the raw deal, may make him a much more raw person. my friend, im not sure, he was my neighbor however, a welcoming neighbor with many friends. all of us dont know what to say, except for the inevitable, with that said, we remain quiet about the issue. but in that silence we all know the risks now. and when they hit home, the only steel we're going for, are those bars that hold us back, for years at a time.

Re: and: the poetry thread
lovely day in a changing place. two mountains ago the whistle blew and I thought I had missed something some tasteful thing that people were into but alas a man i read today stating

"if you keep your head on while others are losing it you will be that much taller than them"

interesting to note the busy day ahead, cleanliness isn't sterile

and it seems never loose its head
beetles crawling beneath its feet in the dark
