Re: Your ten top albums...
It's hard to come with a top ten, considering how much you like a whole album, how much you actually listen to it, and how much you want to represent one of your favorite bands. A few of my favorites that I always want to listen to:
Meat Puppets - Meat Puppets II Snuffy Jenkins - Pioneer of the Bluegrass Banjo Violent Femmes - Violent Femmes Beck - Sea Change 13th Floor Elevators - Easter Everywhere My Morning Jacket - It Still Moves Underworld - STITI Busker Soundcheck - Welcome to Buskerland Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot Loscil - First Narrows Weezer - (Blue album) Black Keys - Rubber Factory Nivana - Unplugged Trainspotting soundtrack |

Re: Your ten top albums...
nine inch nails - the downward spiral
underworld - second toughest soft cell - this last night in sodomy the velvet underground - white light/white heat john zorn - the big gundown meshuggah - catch 33 king crimson - discipline whitehouse - cruise foetus - deaf dj spooky - riddim warfare i adore all of these albums for one reason or another. i like most of them because of their production, like soft cell or nine inch nails, those albums were a full decade ahead of the rest of music at the time in how they were done. |

Re: Your ten top albums...
Been meaning to chime in on this
Robert Miles Organik Led Zeppelin Physical Graffiti Queen Jazz Biosphere Microgravity Swayzak Himawari SpookyGuargantuan Underworld Dubnobasswithmyheadman Underworld A Hundred Days Off Underworld Second Toughest In The Infants The Cure Disintegration I don't understand why there isn't more talk about Organik. This is not cheese laden like his previous output, but, in my humble opinion one of the most complexe, perfectly executed albums ever recorded. Looking forward with immense anticipation to his new album at the end of the year. According to his web site, Robert Fripp is providing guitar. |
