Re: prodigy - who the fuck is eddy cochran?
yea.... I think I've had this mp3 for a little while now (a few weeks or so)
although mine was labeled as "Who The Fuk Is Eddy Cochran" (without the "c" but I doubt that this is any different than the link you gave) and you're right -> it's very much "when is the song gonna actually start?" the first 30 seconds or so have SO MUCH promise... then when the beat comes in... it's like "oh, is that all there is?" which you could say the same for "The Shadow" I'm just loosing more and more confidence in Liam as time goes by... and even just post- "Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned" first claiming that "Back 2 School" was a new track on the "Their Law" best of disc (even though it wasn't... and sounded almost exactly the same as when they played it on the BGAT tour) - then removing the vocals from that track as well... which it DESPERATELY needed then after hearing how much better the original version of "Shootdown" was ("Guns"), which you know... actually had noticeable bass on it, care of Noel Gallagher. then finding out that neither "Dead Ken Beats" nor "Warning" (or that "heatwave" track or whatever it was called) will get a release ...ever then having a shitty instrumental version of "warning" on the Smoking Aces soundtrack... Liam - just admit it you NEED Keith and Maxim! |

Re: prodigy - who the fuck is eddy cochran?
So I decided to download this track and actually have a serious listen (silly me). immediately when I heard the guitar loop, I was already tired of it. It's so lame, so 90's. Then, when I was at about 1:20 into the song, I also thought "when is the song going to start", but then remembered your comments and I was like "oh no, so it's gonna be like this for the whole 2 minutes and 56 seconds". And then I decided that Prodigy can lick my balls.

Re: prodigy - who the fuck is eddy cochran?
Well, i haven't completely given up on the Prodigy, but joethelion, i do agree with you completely that Liam tends to recycle to a noticeable and almost pathetic extent.
I still enjoy "Always Outnumbered Never Outgunned", some cool tracks on it, but without Keith Flint or Maxim on vocals, it seems a little bit like someone else. And compared with the previous records, it seems rather basic. Prodigy have evolved a lot from their candy-rave days, but MFTJG and FOTL had that characteristic snarl and excitement that much of AONO and latter output lacks. Maybe im's still remembering 1997 when "Firestarter" and "Breathe" and "SMBU" seemed so edgy, but i still go "whoa" when listening to FOTL. It's just a relentless, well-produced monster. Here's hoping the next album is a return to form.

You hope what's a joke?.. I don't understand. I agreed with pretty much everything he said.
As for the track in question, it's crap. No two ways about it. It has a cool hook, but it lasts forever, because Liam was too lazy to finish this song. I am looking forward to the REAL new stuff, not this dusty harddrive garbage.
