Excellent if you're an Autechre fanboy, so-so if you're not.

well - I saw them at the Black Cat in Washington, DC a few years ago (maybe 3 or 4, I can't remember)...

but they played in complete, total darkness. the only lights on in the venue were just some soft lights where the bartenders were - the Black Cat had two... like proper 'bar stands' (or whatever you'd call them), one on each side of the dance floor. Oh, and there was a bit of a glow coming off their computer screens

the entire show was basically just one long stream of music. there were no stopping points whatsoever... but at the same time, it never was anything that you could really dance to, if that makes any sense. Well, there were a few nuts in the audience sort of having full body spasms over extended periods of time, but I dunno if they were really 'dancing'

Re: Autechre - Quaristice
years ago i would have followed autechre to the ends of the earth and back again. but the last few albums.... eh.... i haven't heard anything yet but i'm not optimistic. certainly not terribly interested in a live show at this point.

i should just stop holding out hope that they'll ever do anything like ep7 ever again.

Re: Autechre - Quaristice
I'm looking forward to their new album and seeing them in Hamburg.

I've listened to this soundboard recording from their Untilted tour and I guess their live sets are going to be something like that. I was quite surprised as it is more accessible (and I'd even call it dancable) than their recent albums.
