Re: best TV show - HBO saved television
Sopranos is the best show ever.

Big Love was slow to build, but by the end of the first season I was hooked and can't wait for the new episodes.

Lucky Louie, Entourage, and Cathouse are other interesting shows on HBO. Since they're going to be hosting a few UFC fight cards this year HBO has become my favorite station! (Airing UFC is why Spike has "saved television" for me heh heh )
HBO's programs, specials and movies are mostly in stunning HD quality now too.

The Office is the second best show.

Battlestar Galactica is definitely recommended. It's actually quite dark and nothing like the original series.
Deadwood was awesome (still waiting for that finale!!)
I'd also highly recommend Carnivale even though it was cancelled after two seasons.

I watched one season of 24 and that was enough for me. I've never even seen the sopranos yet...
I do have the first season of Firefly on my 'puter though but for now I'm hooked on Battlestar

Wow. Start from the beginning and watch them in order. By season 3 if you aren't hooked like a crackhead, something's wrong with you.

Don't forget HBO's Rome and CarnivĂ*le. Highly recommended. It's a shame that they cancelled CarnivĂ*le after the second season!

I've just started Battlestar Galactica, it's quite entertaining.

I want Showtime too damnit! Can't afford it right now. They've got this show and MMA EliteXC fights coming next month (R Gracie vs. F Shamrock).

The Wire is the best drama on TV since Twin Peaks.
