trentemoller - essential mix of the year

definitely a worth-while EM

but that being said... is it just me, or have the essential mixes for the past few.. well - I don't want to say "years" but it's felt that long - just don't seem overall to be quite as good as they used to?

I can only think of two from this past year -> Trentemoller and the James Holden & Nathan Fake one

Well, it seems my collection mirrors that sentiment as the number of EMs I grab has fallen every year since 2003.

DJ Yoda's was also very good, although not his best mix. And Coldcut from last year was the stuff of legends.

I too thought the Trentmoller mix was great. Somehow it fits together in a way that his album doesn't for me.

Adam Beyer's recent essential mix is proper.

Though I'd wager to say the reason that the EM's have fallen off is probably more a statement on the stagnation of EDM as a whole....
