Since I have nothing better to do () , I'll try to give an approximate translation (disclaimer; I am nor German nor English);

There are only few names in electronic music that have been there from the beginning and that are still influential. Many stars have faded (some other words I do not really understand). Only few have such grip on the audience and have bended the borders of art so succesfully.

Among those pioneers are Sven Vath and Underworld. Vath godfather of techno and one of the best djs in the world and Underworld, masters of the "jam" and conquerors of festivals all over the world. Both meet live here in Frankfurt, your home, or your garden ( :/ ).

Oktober the 12th Underworld and Sven Vath will meer for a unique event. They will jam in a club atmosphere in front of a live audience. Underworld's showconcept, created especially for the CocoonClub, will be the basis for a global live transmission and the audio and visuals shall resound in people all over the world.

To say that Cocoon is a club would not be accurate. That would be the same as describing a Jaguar E-Type just as "a vehicle". It is definitly more: work of art, style icon and design classic. Now a new way of experiencing electronic music is coming up. Vath developed this concept from his experience, position and leadership in the club scene, like Karl Hyde from Underworld (not sure of the exact translation).

The Cocoonclub was conceived as an avantgarde fieldexperiment for the change of space and perception, with a fusion of muziek, light, images and film. The interior is designed by 3Deluxe, who took "genetic architecture" and nature as their rolemodel. The heart of the club is a sound system designed by sound guru Steve Dash.

Underworld have always opposed the image of being "just a band". And in deed, they are not a lot like a normal band. That mainly manifests itself in how they make music and the broadening of their sound.

Underworld is always seeking progression in everything; their writing, recording, contact with the outside world, tempo and direction, especially when it is the least expected.

Their philosophy of cooperation and experimentation is best seen on stage. Rules and setlists are banned. Every night is a different show. On stage, new grooves become new songs. Old songs are erased and reinvented. The "Jam" idea is seen in all aspects of their show; light, optical effects, laser, film, sound and the internet all form an integral part of the band.

With this background, a fusion of Underworld and Sven Vath is just logical.
