It's not a comparison test.

The point is that he was part of the dynamic of the Underworld that the vast majority fell in love with, and that they are basically shit without him.

Emerson brought a whole other side to the group that most likely probably would have never had happen be it he had not come along and shared his underground influence.

i'll agree that Emerson pushed the boys into a more underground dance arena and promoted their development by playing out some tunes, but the dynamic of Underworld has always been Rick and Karl. 80's-90's and today.
