Have you tried changing the name of the file to something else? Had this problem too and Lloyd pointed me in the right direction. I just changed mine to 05 Slideshow.mov and it works a treat in Media Player Classic.

As there are 5 tracks, then I'd have to rate each track out of 2. therefore i think i'll rate each track out of 20 and then total up to give a %. not finished listening yet still sinking in. no point in voting yet. i think i'll split the files also first. Still perfecting the CUE file.

i voted initially 7, but i'd like to downgrade my mark to a 5, because i think that this is more than 30% off perfect and nearer to just 50% good -

in a sense - will i be listening to this in 6 months time? no probably not - i might dip back into it but its not something that i will put on and play back because i really dig it, because i don't think i will....

thats not to say i don't like the music in it or the production, which i think are both great, its just as a piece of music it really doesn't do anything for me...

i really prefer single ambient pieces in shorter bursts, rather than longer sections, and I much prefer P4E & LBT and i'd only rate those 8 & 7 out of 10 respectively, so to give this 7 was initially a bit rash and so would like it noted that i rate this 5 in retrospect

overall as a package the deal is great - a cover, the quicktime movie etc, but I really won't be revisiting it that often....

but each to their own - this may be more to other's liking so enjoy it if you do

i agree with you. It is an excellent indication of the ambient side of Underworld, and though there are lots of cool subtleties, for me, it's not very memorable. In contrast, i can recall/hum/sing various tracks from LBT and to a lesser extent, P4E.

For me, this is beautiful music for doing something else, but it probably won't be the first record i reach for if i wanna hear some UW!

There are also grades of ambient music. For some folks, the more minimal, the better. Personally, i can't take fifteen minutes of a single droning sound (not saying that UW did this!). On the other spectrum is something like the Orb (ambient house, i suppose they're considered), which i totally dig because the sounds keep changing throughout those 15 minutes.

Still, i can totally appreciate "I'm a big sister" and am all the more looking forward to the soundtrack, since it probably has more in the way of experimental sounds/ambient bits versus dance and lyric-driven tracks. Just speculatin'.
