Re: repeated bits throughout an album
There are lots of different elements that are 'the same'...
Spoon Deep and Surfboy Big Mouth and Dark & Long Rez and Cowgirl Dark Hard and Juanita Cherry Pie / Rowla Confusion (End drum sequence) and Juanita (Start drum sequence) Dobropet (intro) and 8 Ball Ansum and Little Speaker Oh yeah, and although the core elements are not the same, i think that You Do Scribble reminds me of Deep Arch ![]() Any More? As for running musical themes through a single given album, i think the closest UW came to this was on Beaucoup Fish with Push Upstairs and Push Downstairs. Maybe some of the sounds in Cups opening remind me of Winjer or Skym, but though Pete Tong once said Underworld is an "album" band that takes you on a journey, i think the musical elements are usually really diverse from song to song...no need to recall or reprise pieces of dance music!
