Re: Born Slippy, but which one?
Yeah, the version of "Born Slippy NUXX" that's on Everything, Everything should be on here, as it is an official release in a sense. I always thought that was the best one, although the original version of "Born Slippy" is a close second.

Re: Born Slippy, but which one?
[COLOR=DarkSlateBlue]i have to vote for telematic, although for me the whole single is totally awsome
![]() that's where you can find the original mix, it's know as the lawnmower or the tractor single, look for it at ebay, it's there often enough. [/COLOR] |

Re: Born Slippy, but which one?
Born Slippy beats Nuxx into a cocked hat.
And hearing it live in Luxemburg was close to one of the most beautiful music moments of my life.

Re: Born Slippy, but which one?
I feel very sorry that i didn't register here before the Luxemburg gig as, apparently, i could have met some of you there... next time, then...
Born Slippy was amazing there, and, for me, is by far the best version. |

Re: Born Slippy, but which one?
thats a tough choice,
it was hard to choose from the full 11:37 version and the original one...however i liked the darren price mix also...oh well had to choose the full version as that was one of the first songs i heard from them.. although i do really like the various live versions also... later -1 |

Re: Born Slippy, but which one?
oh, if you're having trouble finding the original,
also look for this reissue of pearl's girl: Underworld: Pearl's Girl [reissue] [28 Oct 96] single CD5: 1996 UK (Junior Boy's Own; JBO 45 CDS2) [new "red car door" ps] 8:11 Pearl's Girl (tin there) 3:53 Puppies 8:57 Born Slippy (extended album version) --------------- if you want more information about the song, hmm....i haven't updated it in ages, but here you go: [info] -> ______uw_born___slippy___f_a_q___01__09__00__v_0.1 ________ http://www.negative1.net/uw/born_sli...slippy_faq.htm later -1 Last edited by negative1; 02-18-2006 at 11:09 AM. |

Re: Born Slippy, but which one?
hey - you forgot to list the original 9minute-ish version that's on the original single
...and I always thought that one of the Darren Price mixes - I forget which one (not sure if it was the "Mix" or "Remix", was really just a mislabeled mix of Banstyle, you know? I mean - it sounds closer to that track, and all the vocals are from banstyle too... (edit) and I always took Deep Pan as really a track in its own right... but was labeled as a remix b/c at the time, it probably was seen to be more eye-catching to have 'remixes' and not bsides Last edited by joethelion; 02-18-2006 at 12:40 PM. |

Quote:
i'm surprised at how many folks are digging the original more than NUXX. That's fine...maybe the true fans are sick and tired of NUXX. i was, too, until i heard the whole thing again (none of these weak radio or soundtrack edits. Damn thing's 11:37 and 6-7 minutes is just poundingly good!)
