there's another veiled reference i remember also, Q hands Bond his watch (or it it his car) either way he says "here's your new 'watch/car' you're 20th i believe" meaning that everytime we see him in a movie its a replacement...

plus there are so many bond movies that people have to try and remember which ones are which sometimes.
