Re: British Bands
I haven't heard the new 65dos album but the first one was great (although I don't listen to it that much now, come to think of it). Might need to get a listen to the new one...

Re: British Bands
Arctic Monkeys are the best of the bunch there and they havent even released an album yet. Very witty lyrics, great riffs and are miles better than Maximo Park or Franz Ferdinand. Bloc Party and The Editors are good tho and they use "Munich" on Match Of The Day
![]() Check out Black Wire too, they have a great debut album out. A band I like but seem to have sank without trace recently are South, though they are more Stone Roses/Charlatans influenced than this current batch who've been listening to too many PiL/Gang Of Four/Joy Division records. To anyone into these bands, checking out the above 3 bands would be a great idea. Gang Of Four: Solid Gold/Entertainment Joy Division: Permanent Public Image Limited: Public Image Limited/Second Edition also Wire: Pink Flag/Chairs Missing Maybe they arent as polished as the current crop, but that gives them more edge and this post-punkfunk certainly didnt get the attention it deserved at the time.

![]() Stop it, Leon. You're frightening me now. Really you are! For my part, I think Arctic Monkeys and Bloc Party are my particular faves atm. A bit tired of Franz Ferdinand now - haven't bought their new album. For some reason I can't quite fathom, Kaiser Chiefs get on my... er... nerves, I think maybe cos they seem to be trying so hard to sound like The Jam and The Clash and other bands from the 80s? Maybe I am doing them a disservice.
