Re: The Chemical Brothers Movie - Dont Think
i'm sorry,
i watched this, and although i'm only a fan of the first album and some of the second album... i didn't care too much for this video.. 1) WAY TOO MANY SHOTS OF THE CROWD! every 5 seconds is too much and it was incredibly boring to see them in every single shot 2) too many strobes, lasers, etc, that have all been used before 3) way too cliched effects and visuals, not one single one hasn't been seen or used by other groups... ballon drops? really? running animals? architecture? so many groups have used these before, and too a much better effect.. ===================================== save your money, and don't bother getting this... to me the only good thing was the actual live sound mix... if i had wanted to actually see the band, i would have watched them live on the actual tour.. that way i could have watched them, and at least seen and heard the music in context (although i would probably have the same feelings about the visuals eventually) this video doesn't seem to capture them at all, or it just such a broken experience to me that it misses the point.. (or i missed the point).. very disappointing... later -1 |

Re: The Chemical Brothers Movie - Dont Think
Well, i haven't seen the Chems live, but have been a longtime fan. And i loved this video. Very trippy and a truly unique viewpoint from the audience. Sure, i'd like a bit more close ups of Tom an Ed doing their thing, a little less of the venue-goers freaking out. But great visuals, amazing synch with the music, a fine mix that gets to the best of the tracks. Cliches? Maybe. But i'd rather see all of this than any concert without.
