Some assertions in there are obviously quite broad and rely on a number of "what if's" (like the out of debt in 5 years point), but what really grabbed me was the clear presentation of wealth inequality. And those numbers are definitely in the ballpark based on what I've seen in research I've done elsewhere. Overall, the basic thrust of the blog rings pretty true to me.

Yeah, to me, too. The problem is that those guys only listen to numbers, not feelings. Basing arguments on facts is much easier than basing them on something 'ringing pretty true'. That's why challenging their 'vital' assumptions (vital to business, not life, that is) is always a pain in the self-trained Internet researcher's bum.
