Digital Cinema Package. Usually distributed to theaters via hard drive or satellite, I think.
Aw, bummer about the info. Cheers on the link. I wonder what happens to the content on each respective hard drive then.

but I guess thats a bit of a different context, right?
Thanks for the correction on that and providing the exception. Too bad the audience for Frankenstein isn't the same as Cat in the Hat!

Ah, but that wasn't an NT Live broadcast. Here's a list of the NT Live broadcasts so far:

As they said on their Facebook, they currently have no plans to release any. In fact, in checking their Facebook again, someone just asked specifically about Frankenstein:

"Thanks for your interest in DVDs of the production. We are currently limited by our rights agreements with actors and unions so as not to be able to offer DVDs of our broadcasts. We are also keen to build the live communal audience for the broadcasts. But DVDs are certainly an area we may explore in the future. Emma - National Theatre"

Probably get recycled (sent back to be loaded with new content). Given that the content is all encrypted, it's entirely possible that the encryption keys expire after a certain time period, and the content becomes inaccessible.
