Barking Pre-Order (Problems)

Ok, I think I've come up with a solution for the US dirts...

a friend suggested I try a Proxy server which makes it so that sites 'see' that your on the internet in a specific country.

Unlockthenet.co.uk is one of these servers. There's an address bar at the bottom. I've typed Underworldlive.com in it and it took me to the site. I went to the shop and the currency showed up as GBP. I added my items and then went to check out. Lo and behold it redirected me to Paypal where I could purchase it.

I did not actually purchase it though because when it redirected me to paypal a warning popped up mentioning that I was entering a secured site and that it wasn't gonna be secure through the proxy. So I'm on the fence about this method.. because don't want to get my info stolen. But it might be for some risk takers. What do you guys think??

I just did it and it worked!

However, it didn't charge me for shipping. For the hundreds of times i've tried to order this, I should get free shipping anyway, but i'm sure this is going to fuck up my order somehow.

I'm going to immediately change my PayPal password though, just in case.

No shipping? When I did the proxy thing it sent me to paypal where the shipping price appeared and was added to the total.

Well, I have tried a multiple different ways to order this from Colorado USA with NO luck.
From a Vista & Windows 7 machine using Firefox, IE 7&8, Safari for Windows = no joy.
Tried on my old G5 using Safari and no joy.
Tried from my home connection and used a Proxy. I can get to the order page, but unless you have active funds in your PayPal account, it won't let place the order or add funds to complete the order. Of course, because of the Proxy, my email was lit up by PayPal and my account was limited. 20 minutes later after reverifying all of my account info, my PayPal is back online. I would recommend against anyone else using a web proxy to place their order thru PayPal. If you do, change your PW & your secret questions ASAP.

Tried from a Network LAN with a Bluecoat Proxy & Filter posting IPs from St. Paul Minnesota & Toronto, Canada and still no joy.

I'm going to wait until the site gets fixed for US orders, hard as that may be.
I feel like Cartman waiting for the Wii.

I fear that if I do this my order will be canceled by UW (due to no shippping) I will have to re-order again and then...

Testudo, I did this and got all the way through to paypal where shipping was included in the total amount (This was because I specified United States from a drop down box on the underworld site). I did not press the actual pay button because I'm a bit paranoid and feel it won't be an official order through proxy... but it works...
