I think it could take off here in the states. Maybe not the best comparison, but it could be how UFC / MMA has taken off over time versus boxing.

I do watch it when I can find it. I went to a few local tournaments while in college.

It's not the socialism aspect...all of the pro leagues have some sort of socialism elements in it, i.e. revenue sharing being #1. I think the Americans won't get behind it if we aren't winning.
