Yeah, the freeze frame will show he was a tad bit off-sides but I've seen plenty of matches where a guy starts off onsides when the ball is played and ends up with the ball 20 yards from the nearest player and the flag goes up. It's either an amazing job by the ref to see where the player was when the ball was played but I'm just surprised they let that one go.

you're talking about a few inches. at game speed, it looked like a good goal. it takes a freeze frame to see he was 'a tad' off.

referees and linesmen are told to rule in favor of the attacking side in case of doubt. and given the course of the match, the goal was definitely deserved.
