Not sure if I'm misreading this paragraph but it's nothing to do with us that Carter got cited. The citing commissioner is independent (and Australian!) and it was his call to cite Carter.

Matt - agree with you - I've nothing but respect for the Welsh fans, the ones I've been reading online have been pretty dismissive of the citing. And yeah - I know that the WRFU wouldn't have had any direct way of getting Carter cited.

IMO the citing in some fashion must have been influenced by Gatland's bleating - so I'll repeat I think he's a whingy fat bastid (Kiwi or not) - but I do think the IRB citing process is a bit of a joke anyway. Either every unintentional high tackle gets cited from now on - or it was a politically motivated decision.


Yeah - read that BOD article - he's such a gentleman isn't he? Maybe he has a book coming out?
