Re: Mark Begich wins senate race.
Franken hasn't lost (yet). Also, there's still the run-off election in Georgia to watch.

Re: Mark Begich wins senate race.
I see this as good news, if only because it puts Sarah Palin one step further away from a potential 2012 Presidential bid. Not that there haven't been some very good gubernatorial candidates who have made it to Prez, but at this stage anything that might put a spanner in the works is good by me.

Re: Mark Begich wins senate race.
Yes, good in keeping Palin a little further away, but I'm not eager for a filibuster-proof Democratic majority. I actually hope Franken loses. I can't say I care for how he handles himself politically.
And thank goodness Alaska is at least just barely good enough to not elect a newly convicted felon.

Re: Mark Begich wins senate race.
It's sad that I actually find myself pleasantly surprised - I had felt pretty certain as results first started coming in back on the 4th that Stevens was actually going to win, and it put Alaska at about a 9 on my 1-10 what-the-f$%k-o-meter scale. But after this, they're only at like an 8 or 8 1/2.
