Re: Beautiful Burnout - Art Jam, New York
Day 7...a beautiful day. I walked around the city building up energy to spread at the gallery and what a pleasant place it is....full of Karl, John and the rest of the crew(didn't see Rick though). I witnessed the piece of Day 7 coming to life, spoke with Karl and John about some of the works there, pleasant pleasant times. Negative 1 too bad we missed each other bro, but next time..

Re: Beautiful Burnout - Art Jam, New York
I got to experience the Art Jam today. What a great time! If you were watching around 3:00 or 4:00 today, you probably saw me being painted by John Warwicker (what an honor). He's a doing a cool piece on metal that you can't really see too well from the webcam. Me and a couple of other guys talked to him for about half an hour before I realized who he was. He's a really nice guy and quite entertaining to listen to, in addition to his amazing art skills. I got to ask him about some of my favorite Tomato pieces while he painted us into this piece he's working on.

The gallery space is cool - there's an opening wall space with the title of the exhibition in gold print. Then there are 2 video installations, one of which is the guy jumping thru glass from Push and then the other is a longer loop of various things. There are speakers throughout playing the music from the webcam.
Then the main space has several framed photos and the live art pieces on the cam. I'm probably going to buy a print tomorrow - they're very nice. I'm going back tomorrow to see how the painting has changed and hopefully I'll get to meet Karl and Rick. Oh, and The Floating World is still coming out - apparently very soon.
