The creators of Lost gave the fans something to do between season 2 and 3 by making some sort of online mystery puzzle game, which gives the fans more in depth information about the Dharma Initiative and the Hanso Foundation.

It all started when the 'official' site of the Hanso Foundation appeared online:

http://www.thehansofoundation.org

Which was 'hacked' by a hacker called Persephone, later they took it offline but look at the source of the site: it mentions www.rachelblake.com in comment tags.
