it had to happen at some time, seems like no one wants to watch faux live performances by crappy pop bands any more...

it seems the MTV generation has at last killed the longest running Music TV Show....

still over the years there have been some memorable performances:

New Order (Baywatch), KLF (as ice creams), Cameo (Red Cod Piece), Milli Vanilli, Pans People, Legs & Co, Noel Edmunds, Happy Mondays, and so many others...it was best for me in the early 1980's with bands like the Eurythmics, Wham, FGTH & PSB's all regularly appearing...

shame to see it go, although i never watched it in the past few years, because of the pop charts being what they are...
