This is Geoff Barrow's side-project/band. I just heard about them this week passed and their music has that same addiction vibe when listening to it. I listen to them once, I have to listen to the song 3 more times just to enjoy, and stop thinking about it.

Worth checking them out, even if you aren't a Portishead fan. On Youtube there someone was calling them Kraut Rock which I haven't heard much of, but I totally dig this stuff.
