"Midnight Dub feat. Janie H." - Grandbrother (Sean w/Beautiful Burnout)
"Weekend Cute" - tHe niGHt oWl (swillhite)
"D G L" - LX Nen
"The Green Room" - Lucid Rhythms (thee carp dreamer)
"A whisper, A glance" - Cranks
'Les temps legers' - Tin Foil hats (Camiel Toe)
"Firefly" - Sputnikk (King of Snake)
Sidewalk Dramas - AViD (holden)

anyone else close to finishing? From the tracks i've heard (KoS, Sean/Janie, Camiel Toe), this is going to be an amazingly varied, really well-produced compilation (well, there's a kind of dud track by me, but every album has one, right?!).

For the artwork, i'm not sure what order to put the tracks in, but i guess it doesn't matter, as they will probably be downloaded individually, to be arranged by the listener. Alternatively, we could order them somehow and zip them up. As it is, i'm just putting the track names and producers. I guess bios and pix will just go on the website like the "sounds for a dirty summer" comp.?

That all sounds good to me. I wouldn't mind if we figured out an order for the tracks that helps this flow nicely as a compilation. People can do what they want with it later of course, but we might as well make a suggestion for what we think is a good way to enjoy it in it's full form. Since this was Leon's baby, maybe he could take a stab at it when/if he has the time. Watcha' think, Leon?

I'm supposed to be contributing to this, but I don't think I'll be able to get something in...

I'm very disappointed in myself, but I'm left with a quite unfinished track at the moment.

Re: Dirty producers: Song/remix compilation
Do we need to set a new deadline? The only thing I'm worried about is with the holidays approaching, people are just going to keep saying they haven't had time to get to it and then were looking at 2008.

If we can set a new deadline and stick to it, then fine. If not, maybe we can just post the tracks that are already in, and as any new ones come in Maus can update the site (if that's cool with him of course).

We're at 8 tracks, so it'd be cool if we had at least 2 more to get a nice variety of songs.

Any thoughts?

Re: Dirty producers: Song/remix compilation
Holden, I hope you've not finished the artwork (regarding my part that is). I'm now sending a track to Leon, but it won't be the track you've mentioned here above. I called it (simply) "Dreamgirl, I'm desperate for you" and it's an electro track with italo disco influences. I will upload it to my myspace as well.

Oh, well, I've also sent the other track (Les temps legers) to Leon. You may choose which one you want to use. Maybe both?.

I'm on board, but this has been Leon's project, so maybe he can weigh in on it.
