Re: Saul Williams, Trent Reznor and Alan Moulder
It's okay...sounds like NIN b-sides that Trent sold to a rapper. There's even some Trent vocals that don't sound like a collab, more like those were the B-side's original vocals and then the rapper just spewed his own nonsense over the track once the check was cashed.
![]() Stick to tech-rock Trent, you're no Timbaland, Diddy, etc. lol.

Re: Saul Williams, Trent Reznor and Alan Moulder
well - i have to say, when I first heard about this... I had reeeeallllly low expectations. So, it's hard to say how 'good' the album is. It's certainly not bad by any means, but like - if this was a 'normal' album, where you get months of promotions and hype... I might actually be a bit disappointed
I will say though - how often Saul sounds like Trent, or how Trent sounds like Saul. At parts it's hard to tell who's actually doing the lead vocals the cover of Sunday Bloody Sunday is actually quite good though... and I normally am not a HUGE fan of covers in general, especially when they're tracks f/ bands that I like |

Re: Saul Williams, Trent Reznor and Alan Moulder
There are only a couple of tracks where Trent sings backup. Saul posted a very illuminating set of notes on all the tracks on his forum:
http://www.saulwilliams.com/cgi-bin/...c;f=2;t=002361 Keep in mind that Trent's production shows how well he fits in with producers like El-P, Prefuse 73, or even the Bomb Squad (PE!), who have been influenced by the industrial and noise scenes. |

Re: Saul Williams, Trent Reznor and Alan Moulder
Must admit that the cd is starting to grow on me.....but I'd still consider it mostly hit or miss and an overall letdown. Sunday Bloody Sunday, WTF, and Break are all pretty good.
