crocodile - oliver huntemann remix
what do you think?

personally i think it's a bit dull, but it's not bad, just sounds like it's missing a bit of something, maybe a bit too slow or something. i've never been really fond of remixes so i can't really say much, but i was kind of hoping for something a lot more dancey than that.

Re: crocodile - oliver huntemann remix
it's a good track to use to build a set. it's not a peak track. it's a tad dull but in line with other mixes by Huntemann, who peaked with his DM mix, in my opinion. i love that the vocal is untreated for the most part, don't like that he left out the "all these things" chorus but thats pretty typical. i think this song would sound great about 20/30 minutes into a dj set. it's made to be mixed and for what it is, i think it will get plenty of action from DJ's in the clubs.

Re: crocodile - oliver huntemann remix
I like the sub-bass and overall thumping rhythm. The vocals are super stripped down and take some adjusting to, but I think I like the fact that you can understand the lyrics better. Loses steam as it goes on....should have been 4 minutes long tops.

Much better remix than most people do, unlike those Pig + Dan, Micronauts, and Price mixes which are just ear bleedingly awful.

yeah it is really stripped down, isn't it?

i could see it in between two really dancey songs, but only for about 3-4 minutes like you said. that's prolly how the DJs will play it.

is it true that most DJs only use CDs now? i heard that a couple of months ago, and it kinda got me pissed. DJing is an art, CDing is not.

You keep waiting for the big push... and it just doesnt happen. The vocals are a lot clearer (the ones that are used) but I'm just not impressed with it at all.

Am I the only one who's not (already) crazy about the original ? However the 2 sounds good, but the remix is more tight I think.
