Daft Punk live is a must see

i can't believe they're arguing about whether it's an audience or soundboard recording.
i mean, as phenomenal as it is, a couple mistakes give it away, and theres the conversation at the end...

Why would a soundboard recording have audience noise in it? There weren't any mics on the stage.

Considering the length of their performance (roughly the same length of a CD) I wonder if they're planning to take audio and video of this tour of theirs and release a CD/DVD package sometime next year.

I really wish they would. Their tour is named the same as a previous tour that saw "Alive 1997" come out of it. I'm really hoping for a DVD release of one of their shows.

sound forge re-compresses the mp3 after your edits, though, so there's loss of sound quality when you do that.

if you wanna tweak the levels, it's better to take the flac, which is uncompressed, convert it to wav, open the wav in sound forge and tweak that. then you can make an mp3 from that and only have one round of compression.

pretty much every performance at coachella was roughly the same length as a cd, so i wouldn't read too much into that.

still, it would be nice if they do release a live cd/dvd. i know i'd buy it...

Seconded! Thanks very much! It's cool to hear how their show has evolved since the days of "Alive 1997" (which was possibly the best live album ever, imho!)

I downloaded this (Thanks to everyone involved), and it's admittedly my first 'live' exposure to Daft Punk. This is one hell of a show, and probably the best audience recording I've heard. I wasn't much impressed with their latest album, but damn does it sound good in this set. I'll definitely keep an eye out for them in the future.

thanks to everyone who made this available (looking at you Gambit!). I was at this show and it was the highlight of Coachella 2006 for me. just gave a copy to my friends who went to Coachella with me and caught the set and they absolutely love it.

but seeing them and listening to this make me wonder why they don't fucking tour more!

anyway, many, many wonderful memories from this set.
