From what I've heard, Karl would have gladly said 'Hi'..... A work colleague of a mate of mine spent a couple of hours chatting to him at a bar-b-que in Essex a year or two ago without knowing who he was. Apparently he was very polite and humble - almost to the point of being shy. When they found out retrospectively who he was they couldn't believe what a nice bloke he was!

i used to visit some mates for drunken nights out in bridgnorth a few years back. back then you could get a late drink in "the bell". i also remember "the harp" i think. not much else, mind. very blurred. i should've taken a notebook or dictaphone out
