Coz thats how its made Plus J/TDOL/K sounds daft compared to how we know it.

Banstyle one of my fav UW tracks, so bye bye Junaita.

Re: Second Toughest In The Infants Survivor Final Round
Yeah, I picked "Juanita." See, I think that the first part of "Juanita / Kiteless / To Dream Of Love," up to the six minute mark, is brilliant. The way it builds up, the guitar sound, Karl's vocals...pure bliss. So, to this very day, I still can't get over how it just stops abruptly and goes into "Kiteless," then meanders for like six more minutes before concluding with "To Dream Of Love." In my opinion, the live version on Everything, Everything has the better arrangement (although the quality of the vocals in the first part leaves much to be desired), with "Juanita" first, then "To Dream Of Love" with the "Juanita" music, and only a little bit of "Kiteless."

But "Banstyle / Sappys Curry," on the other hand, is absolutely perfect for all fifteen minutes. It develops so unpredictably. And I have never heard any other band make any sound like the guitar in the second half, ever. It's absolutely unique. The production has such a sensuous, melancholy quality to it. So, for me, "Banstyle" wins.

i hope so...
that's what we're doing over at the g forums, so i guess so.

also, we can do a b sides and nonalbum a sides survivor, if y'all would like. but since there's only 20 options, it would be a weird poll, with write in votes, and i'd have to tally them up. and remixes wouldn't be included (except for born slippy.nuxx, since that's their most known song, and was reissued as an a side many times)
so it'd look something like:
-the hump: wild beasts
-spikee
-dogman go woof
-dirty
-minneapolis
-minneapolis airwaves
-big mouth
-eclipse
-thing in a book
-spoon deep
-burts
-rez
-born slippy (original)
-born slippy.nuxx
-cherry pie
-mosaic
-deep arch
-oich oich
-puppies
-please help me
-ansum
-tiny clicks
-headset
-like a swimmer

and then we could do pizza for eggs survivor and lovely broken thing survivor. underworld's discography isn't as set in the ground as genesis' discography is. in g's discography, you have albums, singles, and EPs. in uw's discography you have albums, singles, EPs, online releases, alternate name releases, arguments on whether it's uw, or uw and someone else, etc. etc.

Tough choice indeed.

I had to boot Banstyle though. There is something about Juanita/Kiteless/TDOL that reminds me very much of my old prog rock days that makes it my SECOND fave track on here (sadly my favourite UW track EVAH didn't make it through to the final )

Speaking of live versions, I remember when I first heard the Germany 1996 bootleg (I think that was it, that really high quality one from back in the day) and it started off with these stabs that I had never heard and then all of a sudden the Juanita vocals came in.... I was floored.

Driving at the time too and I think I had to pull over I was so wowed.

I had to say goodbye to Banstyle.Although the last half is lush.I find that Juanita/Kiteless/to dream of love has more good bits!

there is a sound on the other side of this wall
burning singing on the other side of this glass
footsteps concealed
silence is preserving the voice
walking in the wind at the water's edge
comes close to covering my rubber feet
listening to the barbed wire hanging

This is my favourite part when the drums comaa rolling and crashing in!!!

Banstyle is the most gorgeous thing ever. Not just by Underworld but by pretty much the whole electronic music community. Had I have not heard this song I'm probably be a whole lot richer... and know nothing about music production.

Sad to see that it's going to lose. I'd prefer a tie though -- Juanita is a very worthy choice, just not the song I'd choose to take with me to a deserted island.
