Well, listening to those Underworld Mk I demo tapes, i think Daz had a point. It was 1990, but the sound was lagging somewhat, imho. By "Dubno", the sound was fully modern.

I have any doubt that darren helpped them, he gives them something new, but we must search again and again in the history of the ban, to know many thing that it's now unknown for us.

Really i read 2 times in 2 differents magazines, that Darren produce with them only during the BF album, i will not say that this is true or false, but i must search to have the truth, and to have an official history about my favorite band.
I know I may catch alot of heat for this, but I really think Two Months Off is a return to a more "80's synth" style. As I listened to it I heard alot more of the early sounds rather than the later. Not to say it's bad and not to say it's not original, but I really think I heard the "loss" of DE.

just my pennies.

Re: About darren ...
I'm not so sure when you listen to silver bot a real progressive track, i dont think that they return to the early 80's , when you listen to a wondefull track as Dino adventure 3D, you will say that underworld are always great, don't forget an original trak as born slippy 2003.

Rick was always a great producer, put in your mind that in the begining of underworld mkII, darren was only a dj, he didn't know to produce a track in a studio.
I listened to some concerts without darren , I can say to you when you listen to Rocksilde 2000 that it was much better than during darren was with them
I wait impatiently the new album, after that we will be able to see what underworld can do without darren

Re: About darren ...
every few months these threads come around. if the old forums were available to read in archive we could just point to the numerous times this has been beaten to death. but we cant. maybe we can poke scott gently with cattleprod and get him to put the old forums online read-only.

Yes, but the production is credited to Underworld, I believe.
