Re: Always Loved a Film on pete tong
good find TIAB

This album is getting more hype than any UW album I can remember since BF, and it's 2010! (read: not 1997) Seems like it'll be massive, looks like every article about it is pretty much saying it's going to be better than BF, AHDO, OWB...

The ALAF single should be interesting...I wonder if it will show off any previous versions of the tune or just have an edit/remix? Sadly they did that with Scribble but YDS is going to make the CD2 so it's all good. ALAF on the other hand has like 5 different versions (including Silver Boots which is almost entirely different)

Re: Always Loved a Film on pete tong
I uploaded the old verz of ALAF that I had on my comp for ages!

This was my favorite prior to hearing the released version a few days ago. The rhythm of this version though, I still love.

Lovely. What book was that anyway? I'm ashamed to say I don't own any of the Tomato books yet.

That was In the Belly of St. Paul, an Underworld Print book, not a Tomato book.

That video (Electraglide 2003) was around the time of the book's release (Dec. 2003).

Seems like one of those tracks that would absolutely ruin a dancefloor... perfect for the summertime, so full of joy!

Echoing hopes that the Silver Boots/2006 broadcast version will be on disc two of Barking. As much as I enjoy the final mix, the 2006 mix is dead-drop gorgeous.

We already have studio versions of pretty much every stage of the song's development. But we only have a live recording of Version 5! I won't stand for that!

Re: Always Loved a Film (on pete tong)
Now i notice that the tunes pages have gone from the Underworld live site - i wish i'd 'borrowed' that version whilst it was still there (though i recall it was mostly a vocalless version of the Brixton Academy version?)
