Favourite version of Cowgirl
Currently listening to the version from Cocoon gig in '06 and was smiling and nodding away thinking about how much I love this song.

It still amazes me that it is nearly 15 years old. And in that time there have been so many great mixes and live performances.

So what's your favourite version of Cowgirl?

And I wonder if Rick and Karl have a favourite too?

If Rez-Cowgirl is allowed, then the version that caps off Bootleg Babies is an absolute monster. I think it's from the 1996 Reading Festival.

Cowgirl alone: I Love Techno 98
Cowgirl/Rez together: the ones where the church-organ-like sounds continue while Karl sings an 80s song lyric on top of before the build comes back up. (ie: "next time I fall in love with you it will be forever...") there are 4 or 5 like this and I get goosebumps everytime I hear them.

Re: Favourite version of Cowgirl
not sure there's been any remixes that have improved upon the original version... and i still reckon it's the best uw track to dance to!

as for cowgirl/rez - i love the current live version (i've got roundhouse day 1) when the banjo riff mixes in with rez...

Seconded and seconded. All-time favouritest track ever by anyone or anything. The slooowwwwww Rez intro is killing me a little on each listen.

Re: Favourite version of Cowgirl
Good morning,

I was wondering if anybody could point me to where could i buy or obtain any cowgirl/rez remix but without any crowd noise. I tried app store, play store with no luck.

I love this version btw.

If you're looking for a studio version of Rez/Cowgirl, there's never been one released. Someone on here did create one a while ago though, using the studio versions of Rez and Cowgirl. It's pretty easy to do with an audio editor.

If you're looking for a live version without crowd noise, I think that KCRW one you linked is probably your best bet.

These performances also have a minimal amount of crowd noise mixed in:

1994-04-08 Sound City 94, The Tramway - Glasgow, Scotland
1999-07-30 Fuji Rock Festival - Naeba, Japan
2006-11-11 Creamfields - Buenos Aires, Argentina
2010-08-07 BBC Radio 1’s Ibiza Weekend, Cream @ Privilege - Ibiza, Spain
2010-09-11 We Are One Festival, O2 World - Berlin, Germany
