England FC
Anyone watch the match last night? comments?I thought it was a pedestrian performance against very average opposition. Good goal by Gerrard though.

Re: England FC
<best team on earth snarkasum>
what's that say aboot the US?

If the US is going want more top-flight friendlies, they had better start acting like they matter. Its insulting to put out a team of meh players and act like they can get the job done. Does anyone on here that follows US Soccer really believe that EJ and JW will be fronting the US in cup qualification? (The real games, not this Barbados nonsense coming up next week.)

Re: England FC
I thought the US again, put out a VERY mediocre squad to start the match. Josh Wolff and Eddie Johnson as the two starting forwards are about as dynamic as foosball players stuck on a bar. I thought the best sparks of the entire match were after Adu and Eddie Lewis came on. Those two were at least playing with intensity and creativity.

Cheers to England for showing their dominance in passing, one-touches, first-touches and the likes. Jeers to the US for showing how sloppy they can play when up against a top team. Now for Spain, can we PLEASE field a squad of STARTING players?

Re: England FC
How are those in the States watching Euro 2008, now that we are relatively near to the topic?
