green day live...
...took my boy to milton keynes for their 65,000 people gig at the bowl. great venue, for starters, very impressive stuff.

and the music - well, it's more punk pop than punk rock - and this was stadium punk pop - but it was very well done - performed with passion (though with a little bit too much stadium this-side-that-side stuff for my liking) - and hell - i'm just pleased the boy's into them - at least they write half-decent songs about things that mean something - i had a lucky escape in that his favourite pre-gd group was mcfly!

Re: green day live...
Why is there a fourth member when they play live? He was heavily involved when i saw em,they do have a great way with working the crowd.

i had a fantastic time at the show i saw here 2 months ago. it had been quite some time since i'd seen a show on that sort of scale. and yeah, it's certainly "stadium punk pop", instead of "punk rock", but that's allright since they really do it well.

Yeah, i've seen that fourth guy when they play live...who is he and why does Green Day's music necessitate another guitar? Seems like Billie Joe has it mostly covered with those same 4 chords! Still, they're awesome fun, and good for them for their recent 'comeback'!
