purchase Digital Performer?
ok - so this passed school year, I took a class called "Electronic and Computer Music"

amonst the many banks of synths we used, we also used Reaktor, Unisyn, and Digital Performer.

I just got Reaktor 5, and a usb midi controller (so I won't have to use unisyn), so all I need now is Digital Performer & I'll be able to set up my own soft-studio...

except I have no idea where I can buy the program - does anyone know?

I would use something like reason et al... but I already have a working familiarity w/ dp

You're probably better off, as you can do infinitely more with those tools anyways. DP has an excellent engine and everything comes out as clean as a whistle.

I'd recommend going to www.markoftheunicorn.com, and seeing what you turn up there as far as dealers or online sites go.

EDIT: Strange, they don't seem to actually sell the complete software there. What gives with that? But hey, Sweetwater Music has it: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Digperf/

If you are a student, be sure and look into whether or not student pricing is available. Most of these software packages they are. A good way to find out about how you get that would be to ask you professor, if you still have any sort of contact.
