Two Lone Swordsmen - Wrong Meeting
so....

I should say that over the years, while I have enjoyed several tracks/remixes of TLS and bought a couple of EP's/albums/stuff with their remixes... I've never really "followed" them

but I just downloaded an album called "Wrong Meeting"... and man - it's really really not what I was expecting. Like, it's even more rock-y than "From the Double Gone Chapel"

but I'm kind of confused. I can't seem to actually find anywhere to buy the album, save for iTunes (bleh)... or a pretty damn expensive vinyl box set

Although, I found "Wrong Meeting 2" on cd... but it's like a completely different cd! What gives?

so like... is "Wrong Meeting" going to be released on anything other than this Vinyl Box Set?

Re: Two Lone Swordsmen - Wrong Meeting
i've been following TLS/Weatherall for years and this album has almost made me stop caring. Weatherall's EP under his own name was quite good but this LP is awful. if i wanted rock music i'd listen to rock music. i want ELECTRO when i buy TLS records. or at least quality electronic music like the did so wonderfully on Fifth Mission, Swimming Not Skimming and Stockwell Steppas. getting old and fat and nursing your coke habit is obviously a sure fire way to lose the plot. so long andy, it was good while it lasted.

Re: Two Lone Swordsmen - Wrong Meeting
well... I still haven't had much time to actively listen to the two different albums, but I will say that "Get Out of My Kingdom" has had several repeat listens over the past two days

like - it's almost making me want to fork over the $$$ to get a perfect copy of that track

...Wrong Meeting (1) isn't going to get a proper release is it?

Re: Two Lone Swordsmen - Wrong Meeting
i'm not sure actually. are there 2 diff. tracklistings? i only have the one that leaked a couple months ago and haven't even bothered to look at the vol2 or whatever after i read a review saying it was more of the same.

should i give it a shot? have you heard both and is this one better?

Re: Two Lone Swordsmen - Wrong Meeting
yea... they are two completely different albums

Wrong Meeting <- this one, as far as I can tell, is only available as a part of a vinyl box set, with a print and a t-shirt

Patient Saints 4:59
Rattlesnake Daddy 5:22
No Girl In My Plan 5:44
Puritan Fist 4:02
Nevermore (Than Just Enough) 3:53
Wrong Meeting 5:13
Evangeline 4:16
Work At Night 3:22
Get Out Of My Kingdom 6:50

Wrong Meeting 2
Mountain Man 4:21
Shack 54 4:39
Glories Yesterday 4:19
Blue Flames 2:46
The Ghost of Dragstrip Hollow 3:49
Born Bad / Born Beautiful 5:49
In the Shadow of a Dark Sun 5:31
Hey Deborah Anne 3:09
Lose Control of Yourself 6:33

I actually haven't had much time to reeealy listen to either album separately, as it's part of a new 'flood' of music. Both albums do sound a bit alike... but that can be expected

I'll probably be able to give 'em a good listen today. One thing that sucks about being in a place where you go everywhere by car - is that you never have the opportunity to like... just put on your headphones and walk around, listening to new stuff - know what I mean?
